Related Vs. Ephesians 3: 14 –
21, Psalm 51: 1 – end)
Greetings to you all in the mighty
name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Brethren, today’s topic is entitled – How can we invite
God to dwell in our heart for good?
Certain important steps need to be taken to prepare our heart for
God to live there permanently. Romans 3: 23 says ‘For all
have sinned and come short of the glory of God’. Therefore
if we should mark iniquities, who could stand - Psalm 130: 3. Now,
what should we do?
• REPENTANCE:
Brethren, you need to go no your knees and repent of your sins and
repentance must be true & genuine.
In Psalm 86: 11, David prayed ‘teach me your way oh lord and
give me undivided heart to fear thy name’. For instance, most
of the accidents on our road are caused by drivers with divided
hearts and/or attention. But as Christians, we need to focus our
heart on Godly things always for the Glory of God to shine in our
lives.
• NEW HEART:
In Ezekiel 11: 19 – 20 & 36: 26 – 27, God said ‘I
will give my people a new heart and put a new spirit within them.
I will take out their stony heart and replace it with the heart
of flesh’ etc. This was why David prayed in Psalm 51: 10 ‘create
in me a clean heart Oh God and renew a steadfast spirit within me’.
The same God who forgave David is still alive & ready to forgive
us our sins and give us a new heart once we truly repent and forsake
our sins – Amen.
• ASSURANCE:
With a new heart, you will not be afraid of evil tidings because
your heart is fixed & established, always trusting in the Lord
– Psalm 112: 7 –8.
Brethren, other assurances such as your family’s safety, blessings,
favor, success, joy, peace, healing, anointing etc will become permanent.
• APPROVAL OF SEAL / AUTHORITY:
II Corinthians 1: 21 – 22 confirmed that the anointing &
blessings of God through Christ has sealed us and given us the spirit
in our heart as a guarantee of a crown and eternal life.
Now, hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been
poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us
– Romans 5: 5
In conclusion brethren, I charge you all to unconditionally give
your hearts to God your creator, the author and finisher of our
faith. Repent from the bottom of your hearts so that you can enjoy
all the benefits mentioned above; and for God to sustain you for
that glorious day – the redemption day.
My parting word for you on this very important topic which we have
been teaching in the last five Sundays is taken from John 6: 27.
‘Do not labour for the worldly things which perishes, but
for those things which endures to everlasting life, which the Lord
Jesus will give you because God the father has set this seal on
him’.
Remain Blessed this week
